TSE
The Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and approving standards, publishing those accepted as Turkish Standards. It promotes voluntary application of standards and, when necessary, makes them mandatory with the approval of the relevant ministry. TSE prepares standards or projects based on public and private sector demands, conducts scientific and technical research, and collaborates with national and international institutions. It carries out joint studies with universities, provides publication and archiving services, and operates laboratories offering testing, calibration, and certification services. Additionally, TSE organizes courses and seminars to train experts and issues certificates encouraging quality production in compliance with standards. The priority of TSE’s duties is determined and announced by the General Assembly.
