The Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB) was established by the Council of Ministers’ decision dated February 10, 1992 (No. 92/2752) to monitor scientific, technical, and applied research on wind energy, promote the widespread use of wind resources, and contribute Turkey’s wind potential to the economy. As the umbrella organization for wind energy in Turkey, TÜREB covers the entire wind value chain and actively participates in all sector-related legal regulations. It collaborates closely with the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), General Directorate of Energy Affairs (EİGM), Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. TÜREB is also a member of Wind Europe and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), making it the strongest civil society organization for wind energy in Turkey.
